A 19th century oak 30 hour Longcase with an attractive painted dial in excellent original condition.

The simple oak case has a plain pediment and a well figured oak door.

The movement is a 30 hour plated type, striking the hours on a bell.

A painted dial 8 day Longcase clock by an unknown maker. The plain white dial without decorative corners or maker’s name is unusual, but has been restored exactly to its original design. There is a strike/silent control in the arch.

The movement, of typical form is housed in an attractively figured mahogany case with pagoda top, dental moulding to the arch and a marquetry shell design on the top.

A 30 hour, single handed Longcase clock by Evens of Halstead (Essex) in a later oak case.

The typical East Anglian posted frame movement strikes the hours an a bell, and shows the time on its single hand.
-
The well-built oak case probably dates from around the 1920s and makes a tidy cottage clock which, at only 74 inches high, will fit any room.

It is housed in pretty oak case of typical East Anglian style standing 82 inches high (without the finial).

The brass dial is to be restored — the chapter ring will be cleaned and re-silvered and the brass parts cleaned.
