|
The Turret Clock Tour is a popular annual event for the Ipswich Branch. This year we are exploring the Essex/Suffolk border from Clare to Halstead, including the ancient clock at Stoke by Clare. Date: Saturday 18th August 2007 Time: 10 a.m. - approx. 5 p.m. Starting Place: Clare parish Church, Suffolk ItineraryThese arrangements are provisional, and may be changed. Timings are approximate.
NotesAll Clock enthusiasts are welcome, whether members or not. It will help planning if non-members could contact me first to give an idea of numbers expected. You need to be reasonably fit to climb the towers. Clock towers are dirty and potentially dangerous places. Wear old clothes and sturdy flat shoes. Steep ladders are often involved, so skirts are best avoided! It is a condition of these tours that individuals take full responsibility for their own safety. A small charge will be made for donation to the churches involved. ContactIf you have any queries, please contact Ian Coote
